WOT and workplace web filter help needed
Hey all,
I keep hearing from people that my site is blocked at their workplace by the net filters that are meant to prevent objectionable websites from being viewed at work; the filters say my site contains “adult content”. Also Web Of Trust (WOT) has me as an unknown rating, the “grey circle with question mark”.
Yet obviously, apart from a couple of occasional swear words, my sites do not contain anything inappropriate for children or the workplace. There’s hardly any images at all, let alone “adult” ones!
What can I do about this? Do you have addresses for specific people/offices I should contact for review of my site’s status? Do any of these filter companies even listen to such requests? If one of you happens to work for a filter or rating company, would you be able to do me a huge favor and drill to find what is marked as “objectionable” about my site, so that I can remove or alter it?
Everyone else, if you use WOT, could you do me the huge favor of giving me a clean rating? Or if you have a reason not to, could you let me know, so I can address your concerns?
